Automation and SCADA

From process design to the last tag on the SCADA screen, the entire control layer is ours.

The most critical thing about automation work is that the team building the panel and the team writing the software are the same. With us, process design, PLC software and SCADA software run under the same roof as the team that manufactures the panel. When a problem appears, there is nobody to point at.

Our working order

1. Process design

First we put in writing what the plant must do: which equipment runs under which condition, when it must stop, and which alarm is raised at which level. We do not write a single line of code before this functional description is approved — because on site, the most expensive correction is the one requested after the software is finished, beginning with the words “actually we wanted it the other way”.

2. PLC software

The PLC program is written against the functional description. Automatic and manual modes, equipment protection interlocks, sequential operation, running hour tracking and fault handling are set up as standard. The software is written to be commented and readable, with meaningful tag names.

3. HMI / operator panel

What an operator needs on the panel in the field is not colourful graphics but the ability to understand the situation at a glance. We build the screens accordingly: active alarm at the top, equipment status by colour code, manual intervention one touch away.

4. SCADA software

The layer where the whole plant is monitored from a computer. Live values on the process flow diagram, alarm list and history, trend graphs, shift and production reports, user authorisation and remote monitoring.

The software is yours: The source files of the PLC and SCADA projects we write are handed to you at delivery. You are not tied to us for a small change — though if you prefer, we can keep looking after it under a maintenance agreement.
